Frequently Asked Questions
Your intake forms must be completed at least 24 hours before we meet. After reviewing your forms, we'll take some time to understand what brings you to therapy. The first few sessions will be focused on getting to know more about you and your history so that we can determine your goals for working together.
Before your session, take time to set up your laptop/ smartphone/ tablet. Make sure your device has a working camera, microphone and reliable internet access.
Start session in a safe and private space where you feel comfortable. I also recommend clients keeping a pen and paper handy for their own notes during session.
Individual therapy sessions are typically scheduled at the same time weekly for 53 minutes.
If you are not yet a client, please e-mail to ask about services and future openings. If you are a current client, you may use your portal to message me. That is the preferred method of communication for privacy and HIPAA compliance. I do not provide emergency services. Email should never be used to seek emergency mental health support during a crisis as your message may not be immediately received. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You may also contact the 24 hour Maryland Helpline at 211, press 1 or text your zip code to 898-211.

Currently, I am a fee-for-service provider. Although I am out of network with insurance companies, my services do qualify for patient reimbursement. Session fees are collected directly from you, however I am able to provide a superbill (statement of services) for you to apply for reimbursement with your insurance company. Please contact your insurance company to determine your outpatient mental health benefits before your first appointment.
