What happens in my first session?
✳
After you complete your intake forms (least 24 hours before we meet), we'll take the first session to review the forms and start the intake process. During this time, I’ll learn more about you and what brings you to therapy. Depending on your comfort, it may take a few sessions to determine your goals for working together. We’ll discuss a treatment plan and confirm our schedules during the first session.
How do I prepare for my first session?
Intake forms are sent by e-mail link and must be completed in the privacy protected client portal before your first session.
Before your first session, take time to set up your laptop/ smartphone/ tablet. Make sure your device has a working camera, microphone and reliable internet access.
Start session in a comfortable, safe and private space. Some clients also find it helpful to keep a pen and paper nearby for their own notes during session.
Please note that your appointment will be canceled if you are not located in the state of Maryland during your appointment. Licensing regulations as an LCSW-C requires that clients are physically located in the state of Maryland to attend sessions online.
If you are not yet a client, please e-mail info@honestquestcare.com to ask about services and future openings. If you are a current client, you may use your portal to message me. That is the preferred method of communication for privacy and HIPAA compliance.
Honest Quest, LLC does not provide emergency services. Email should never be used to seek emergency mental health support during a crisis as your message may not be immediately received. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You may also contact the 24 hour Maryland Helpline at 211, press 1 or text your zip code to 898-211.

How do I reach you?
Do you accept insurance?
I am a fee-for-service provider. Although I am out of network with insurance companies, my services do qualify for patient reimbursement. Session fees are collected directly from you, however I am able to provide a "superbill"(statement of services) for you to apply for reimbursement with your insurance company. Please contact your insurance company to determine your outpatient mental health benefits before your first appointment.
